About me
A creative at heart, and insatiably curious about the mechanics and motives of human thought and behavior, I graduated from Towson University with degrees in Psychology and Design. My passion for UX/UI lies in the empathy developed through understanding users needs and behavior and adapting that into beautiful and usable design.
I currently work at Atlassian, focusing on bringing a new content type to Confluence called databases to further power customers' collaborative ways of working. Prior to that I poured my creative efforts into athenahealth designing tools for network/referral management inside EHR software and spent the 4 years prior at frog design where I collaborated with team members to conduct design research, concept strategy, and created assets such as high fidelity prototypes, sitemaps, user flows, and wire frames. I've also assisted in early conceptualization for pitch development and helped tell so many stories through decks, I dream about them.
Skills
The UX meat and potatoes (sitemaps, user flows, archetypes, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, etc), the research stuff (discussion guiding, moderating, synthesizing), accessibility, systems thinking, workshop facilitating, word-smithing, story telling, human connecting, and the courage to ask stupid questions to name a few.
